Eastbound Interstate 70’s off-ramp to C-470 and U.S. 6 has reopened after a crash spilled soap over the roadway and caused an hours-long closure..

The roadway had reopened as of 5:19 p.m.

Around 8:45 a.m. Monday, state patrol troopers and Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a semitrailer rollover crash on eastbound I-70, state patrol officials said.

The crash shut down the interstate’s off-ramp that connects eastbound I-70 to eastbound C-470 and westbound U.S. 6, .

Sheriff’s officials said the semitrailer was carrying containers of liquid soap and paramedics transported the driver to the hospital with unknown injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

A posted by the sheriff’s office shows the semitrailer resting on its side where it came to a stop after the crash, leaking liquid soap suds across the ramp.
