Spring is a month and a half away, but Denver residents will get a preview of warmer weather this week, with highs in the 60s forecast Sunday through Wednesday.

Temperatures in Denver were expected to climb to 59 degrees and fall to 32 overnight Saturday,

The thaw comes after sub-zero cold and multiple rounds of snow chilled the Denver area in January.

Overnight temps are expected to remain at or just above freezing, at least during the first part of the week, with some clouds but no rain or snow on the horizon, according to the National Weather Service.

Light and moderate snow is forecast in the mountains, although weather service meteorologists say slick road conditions will be mostly limited to passes in Grand and Jackson counties.

Denver residents can savor the break from winter weather with a patio beverage at one of the city’s iconic craft breweries or by taking a stroll through which is showcasing at its York Street location.
