Northbound I-25 reopens near Loveland after fatal crash

Roadway closed for more than three hours Saturday

Northbound Interstate 25 is back open south of Crossroads Boulevard near Loveland after a fatal vehicle crash Saturday morning.

Colorado State Patrol wrote in at 8:39 a.m. Saturday that the roadway was closed. As of 12:18 p.m., Colorado’s Department of Transportation reported that the interstate to traffic.

CSP Trooper Sherri Mendez later said the deceased driver, a 50-year-old Berthoud man, crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer while the two vehicles were traveling north on I-25.

Mendez said the man’s vehicle was wedged under the truck, and the cause of the crash was still under investigation Saturday evening.
