One teenager was killed and three were injured Saturday in an El Paso County rollover crash, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The day before, a separate rollover crash in unincorporated Arapahoe County killed a 19-year-old Aurora man and injured five passengers of the same age, agency spokesperson Gabriel Moltrer said in an email to The Denver Post.

State patrol troopers responded to the Arapahoe County crash involving a Jeep Wrangler in the 19000 block of East Low Drive just before 2:30 a.m. Friday, Moltrer said.

That block is a residential area in a pocket between two sections of Aurora city limits. It’s south of East Smoky Hill Road and north of East Arapahoe Road.

The 19-year-old Aurora driver died from his injuries at the scene of the crash. He will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

Paramedics took one 19-year-old woman to the hospital with serious injuries, Moltrer said. Four other 19-year-olds, two women and two men, were treated on scene for minor injuries, he said.

The group was driving south on East Low Drive when they went around a steep, left-hand curve and rolled, Moltrer said.

It’s unclear if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

In El Paso County on Saturday, a 16-year-old boy was driving a Nissan Pathfinder north on Peyton Highway when he failed to navigate a turn, went off the right side of the road and rolled, according to a state patrol news release.

The crash happened just before 11 a.m. and about 30 miles northeast of Colorado Springs, near the intersection of Peyton Highway and Pinon Park Road, state patrol officials said.

The 16-year-old driver was ejected from the car during the crash and airlifted to a hospital, where he later died, according to the news release.

He will be identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.

Paramedics took three teenage passengers — including two 16-year-old girls and another 16-year-old boy — to the hospital with minor injuries, state patrol officials said.

The Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit is investigating the crash.
