A fast-moving landspout tornado struck more than a half-dozen businesses in Franktown in Douglas County on Monday afternoon, authorities said.

The Franktown Fire Department that seven businesses in a shopping center near the intersection of Colorado 83 and 86 sustained roof damage, but no injuries were reported.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office that everyone in the area has been accounted for.

The sheriff’s office is asking the public to avoid the area as crews clean up the damage.
