Comment: Mountain Vista can’t look too far ahead to Valor on Oct. 3. Cherokee Trail could be dangerous. This week: vs. Cherokee Trail, 7 p.m. Thursday.
6. Arvada West 3-0 7 W (34-33 at No. 7 Fairview)
Comment: Wildcats escaped Boulder with big win over Fairview. Now comes an even bigger test. This week: vs. No. 4 Legend, 7:30 p.m. Friday.
7. Pine Creek 1-1 9 Did not play
Comment: Four-week gauntlet begins with Loveland, Arapahoe, Cherry Creek and Legend in succession. This week: vs. Loveland, 7 p.m. Friday.

Comment: Arvada West loss may end up being toughest game on Knights’ regular-season schedule. This week: at Boulder, 5:30 p.m. Friday.
