Man arrested on suspicion of murder in 2-year-old’s death in Denver

Denver police are investigating a suspected murder after a 2-year-old died Sunday in the city’s Barnum West neighborhood, according to the agency.

The first posted about the child’s death in the 100 block of South Vrain Street at 7:25 p.m. Sunday. Officers responded to the area after a caller reported an unresponsive 2-year-old, police said.

The child died at the scene from unknown injuries, police said.

As of Monday morning, the man was being held at Denver’s Downtown Detention Center, .

Stout will appear in Denver County Court on Tuesday for his first advisement hearing, court records show.
