A woman struck by lightning in Superior this week has been identified and remains in critical condition, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday morning.

The woman was walking on a path in the 1000 block of Lasalle Street on Thursday evening when she was struck by lightning. She had no pulse and was unconscious when first responders arrived, but they were able to revive her, the sheriff’s office said.

She was not carrying ID, and her phone was severely damaged by the lightning. County officials turned to the public Friday for help identifying her.

The woman was identified as of 9:54 a.m. Saturday, and her family is by her side, the sheriff’s office said.
