“Peppa’s Yummy Cookbook” is full of recipes that are particularly easy for young children to make. This simple fruit dessert can be made with fresh pineapple rather than canned pineapple rings, but an adult would need to core and slice the fruit.

Tropical Treats

Yield: 4 or 5 rings

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Half teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8-ounce can of pineapple rings, drained

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a shallow dish with foil or parchment paper.

Mix the butter, brown sugar and spices together until there are no lumps.

Lay the pineapple slices in a single layer in the shallow dish and drizzle the sugar mix over the top.

Bake for 15 minutes, turning over once, until the pineapple is golden and warmed through.
