At least four days of near-record or record-breaking heat will hit Denver starting Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
As of Wednesday morning, , Denver forecasts included highs of:
- 85 degrees on Wednesday. The current June 3 heat record is 94 degrees, set in 2006.
- 91 degrees on Thursday, three degrees short of the 94-degree heat record for June 4, set in 2012.
- 90 degrees on Friday, six degrees short of the 96-degree heat record for June 5, set in 2020.
- 96 degrees on Saturday, which would break the city’s current June 6 heat record of 95 degrees. That record was last tied in 2018.
- 95 degrees on Sunday, three degrees short of the 98-degree heat record for June 7, last tied in 2006.
Normal temperature highs for early June range from 78 to 81 degrees, . The hottest June temperature in city history is 105 degrees, a record hit twice in 2012 and tied in 2018.
