A pilot was airlifted to a Denver-area hospital with serious injuries after a small helicopter crashed near Larkspur on Monday, sheriff’s officials said.
Douglas County deputies and Larkspur firefighters responded to the downed helicopter in the Cheyenne Drive area, near Perry Park, shortly before 8 a.m. Monday, .
Photos posted by Larkspur fire officials showed in a grassy area near the Perry Park Country Club.
An AirLife helicopter with HCA HealthONE branding appeared to be , transporting the crashed helicopter’s pilot to a hospital.
Additional information about the cause of the crash and the pilot’s injuries was not available on Monday.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash, sheriff’s officials said.
