More than 4 million passengers used Denver International Airport in June, setting a record for the month and reflecting a 1.9 percent increase over the more than 3.9 million passengers who used the airport in June 2004.
During the first six months of the year, 21.1 million passengers used DIA, up 2.4 percent from the year-ago period. In 2004, DIA hosted a record 42.3 million travelers.
Separately, the wing tip of a United Airlines Ted plane clipped the tail of another Ted plane at DIA on Wednesday. One flight departing for Las Vegas was canceled, and passengers were moved to another flight. No one was injured, and damage to both aircraft was minor.
