Jessica Alba has landed the coveted lead in the “I Dream Of Jeannie” movie, according to film website Movieline.net.
Alba, who recently co-starred in “Sin City,” will join Jimmy Fallon in the remake of the television series that starred Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman. Other actresses who reportedly sought the role were Kate Hudson, Lindsay Lohan and Alicia Silverstone.
Nicole Kidman has promised to fulfill a wish by a cancer-stricken child – to meet fellow Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie.
Kidman visited 6-year-old Dylan Hartung twice last week at a New York hospital, according to the New York Post. She also made good on another promise – to take Dylan to the movies. Three days later Kidman took him to see “The Dukes of Hazzard,” the child’s mother told the Post.
Eva Longoria proved she had a sense of humor after an accident on the set of “Desperate Housewives” last week.
A piece of equipment fell on the actress’ head Aug. 17, leaving her with a concussion.
“The paramedics were called and they said they wanted to take her in an ambulance to the hospital to get her head checked,” a source told Inside TV magazine. A joking Longoria, replied, “What, no limo?”‘
Longoria’s rep said her client “is doing well and is grateful for fans’ concerns and all of their kind get-well wishes.”
Keanu Reeves and Catherine Zeta-Jones are negotiating to appear in a movie about Johnny Stompanato, the hoodlum killed by the teen daughter of his girlfriend, actress Lana Turner.
Stompanato was stabbed to death in 1958 in Turner’s Beverly Hills home, with 14-year-old Cheryl Crane taking the blame. The death was ruled as justifiable homicide, but rumors claimed Crane and Stompanato had been lovers and Turner actually killed Stompanato and let her daughter take the rap.
Ivana Trump’s venture into reality TV apparently is a bust.
The former Mrs. Donald Trump starred in “Ivana Young Man,” on which Ivana helped a 40-something divorced woman, Kathy Dahl of Minnesota, choose from six young male suitors, the New York Daily News reported.
The Fox network commissioned the project as a two-hour special, but a spokesperson said the network has no plans to air it.
Guess we’ll have to wait for “The Apprentice” to return.

Richards: No “Honky Tonk” dancers
Keith Richards is an old coot.
According to Lloyd Grove of the New York Daily News, the 61-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist refused to let 25 female dancers hit the stage when the rock group opened its latest tour at Fenway Park in Boston. The dancers were to perform during the band’s rendition of “Honky Tonk Women,” but “Keith didn’t like the idea,” a source said, adding that a “choreographer came in after the sound check and said, ‘Sorry, girls, Keith’s not having it. He says no girls – or no show.’
