Denver Newspaper Agency state circulation manager Rick “Worm” Charbonneau snapped this shot while out on his rounds. The sign may provide evidence for the “trout as long as your leg” stories told on the liar’s bench next door. Where is it? Send your guess and how you knew to coloradosunday@denverpost.com, and include a digital photo of yourself. We’ll pick one fish tale to share next week. The best one wins $50 in movie tickets.

HOW’DYOUKNOW?

Last week: Camp 4 Coffee, Crested Butte

The winner: Cheryl Thouvenell Witt, Arvada

I first saw this old garage in Crested Butte in 1978 on a camping and job-interviewing trip with my two kids. The license-covered garage and the graveyard are memories of the beautiful town and a life change I could not make 27 years ago. This September I looked for the garage during a camping trip. Crested Butte is no longer a town of half a dozen unpaved streets. After a half-hour looking for the building, once visible from the main section of town, I asked a shop owner if the License Plate Building remained. My delight that it did overshadowed the melancholy I felt that the town had grown so large.
