Arvada and Wheat Ridge police are asking for help from the public following two recent police impersonation incidents.

Composite sketches released today show the suspects in a Nov. 7th incident in Wheat Ridge and a Nov. 11th case in Arvada.

In Wheat Ridge, a 17-year-old girl was pulled over near 38th Ave. and Johnson St. while driving to school.

The suspect is a white man in his late 30s, standing about 6 feet tall with dark hair and a goatee. He had a gun and handcuffs on his belt. He was driving a dark blue Dodge intrepid with red and blue spinning lights on the dashboard.

He drove away when the victim said she wanted to call 911 for a marked police car.

In Arvada, a 17-year-old boy was pulled over near 72nd Ave. and Carr St at 11:30 a.m. The suspect approached his car, looked inside, then returned to his own car and drove away.

The suspect is a white man, 6′ tall, 200 pounds with brown hair, a goatee, and blue eyes. He appeared to have a police radio and a handcuff pouch.

He was driving a blue car with emergency lights inside.
