Dirty dancing Moss, Lohan

Lindsay Lohan and Kate Moss put on a steamy pole-dance show early Wednesday morning at the New York strip club Scores, the New York Post reported.

Lohan, who denied the Vanity Fair story about her drugs-and-bulimia battle, Moss (dubbed “Cocaine Kate” by the British tablolids) and other gal pals ordered round after round of vodka shots, raspberry Kamikazes and beer, an eyewitness told the Post. About 400 men watched with delight as Moss, who turns 32 Monday, jumped on the stage, grinding against a pole, before being joined by Lohan, 19.

Celebrity photographer James Edstrom heard Moss yell at a dancing Lohan, “You’re a pro, Lindsay! You should do this for a living!”

Hanks and Roberts may team for spy pic

Two of Hollywood’s biggest stars may be working together on a new project, “Charlie Wilson’s War,” Daily Variety reported.

Tom Hanks has agreed to play the lead role, while Julia Roberts is in early talks to join the cast. Mike Nichols also is in discussions to direct the film about a CIA covert operation in Afghanistan. Aaron Sorkin, creator of “The West Wing,” wrote a screenplay adaptation of “War” based “60 Minutes” producer George Crile’s book.

Felicity Huffman finished an interview with “60 Minutes”‘ Lesley Stahl recently when she realized she had lost a borrowed bauble, the New York Daily News’ Lloyd Grove reported.

The panicked “Desperate Housewives” star, her publicist Jessica Kolstad and camera crew members searched West 20th Street outside the interview site, the Atlantic Theater Company co-founded by Huffman and husband William H. Macy. Kolstad found the $45,000 sapphire earring borrowed from Martin Katz, jeweler to the stars. The Huffman interview – and just one earring – airs at 6 tonight on KCNC-Channel 4.

Katie Couric pooh-poohs talk she is headed to CBS, as quoted by the Daily News’ Grove, saying that “my contract is not up till May, and I can’t even negotiate until then.” The man she’s supposed to supplant, “CBS Evening News” anchor Bob Schieffer, said: “I would love to see Katie come here. I don’t want to do this job forever.”

Two hotel and casino workers claim Paula Abdul helped get them fired, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Carol Good and Damon Rosa were working Jan. 2 at the Silverton hotel and casino when Abdul called the front desk at about 6 a.m., wanting to change a 7:40 a.m. flight, they say. Good said she printed out flight schedules, and as she was about to call Abdul, the “American Idol” judge called and “went off on me” and blamed the two for making her miss her plane. The workers were suspended Jan. 5 and fired the next day. Neither a hotel rep nor Abdul’s lawyer responded to comment.

Nick Lachey did not waste time finding a place to live. Jessica Simpson’s soon-to-be-ex-husband bought a $300,000 Cincinnati house with his father, John, just before Christmas, In Touch magazine reported. The home Lachey and Simpson shared in Calabasas, Calif., was sold to “Malcolm in the Middle” co-star Justin Berfield last week.

Ted Koppel added two jobs to his burgeoning résumé. The former “Nightline” host will be a contributing columnist for The New York Times starting Jan. 29, the paper said. Koppel, who spent 42 years at ABC before ending a 25-year run on “Nightline” in November, also will comment about 50 times a year for National Public Radio. Koppel will appear on NPR’s “Morning Edition,” “All Things Considered” and “Day to Day.”

Koppel recently announced a three-year deal to host and produce documentaries and town hall broadcasts for the Discovery Channel.
