U.S. Bank has reshuffled the supervision for its metro Denver branches and named a new regional operations manager to oversee compliance, customer service and budgets.

“We wanted to make sure that our customers, teams and branches had more support. It is an investment in the Denver market,” said Jeff Shular, a senior vice president and regional manager for retail banking with the Minneapolis-based company.

U.S. Bank had divided the metro area into two districts, with 23 and 25 branches each, but managers were overseeing a lot of employees and customers, Shular said.

How U.S. Bank is now slicing up the area:

A northeast district covers Aurora and south Denver with 17 branches. Mike DiPetro, a 22-year veteran who was one of the two previous district managers, will oversee the district.

A southwest district covers Highlands Ranch, Parker, Lakewood, Englewood, Littleton. Jeremy Hotsenpiller was promoted to manage the district and its 15 branches.

A north-central district stretches from Denver, Arvada, Broomfield, Lakewood, Westminster, Wheat Ridge and up to Boulder. U.S. Bank has named Derek Pender, who relocated to Colorado from Washington, to oversee the district’s 16 branches.

U.S. Bank also promoted Angela Davidson, a 13-year veteran of the company and the other previous district manager, to the new post of regional operations manager. She will oversee three operation managers in metro Denver as well as operation managers in Salt Lake City.

U.S. Bank is part of U.S. Bancorp, the nation’s sixth-largest financial holding company, with assets of $209 billion. U.S. Bank is Colorado’s second-largest bank in market share after Wells Fargo.
