The outdoor public is invited to participate in a conference call at 8 a.m. Monday. The Colorado Wildlife Commission will be informed on a wide range of legislative proposals of interest to the Division of Wildlife.

A meeting room at DOW’s 6060 Broadway headquarters will be available for those who wish to listen to the call. No public comment will be taken. Those who wish to attend should contact Pam Wagner at 303-291-7338.

Students wanted

Colorado Trout Unlimited is accepting applications from Colorado students ages 14 to 18 for its inaugural River Conservation and Fly Fishing Youth Camp. Bids must be submitted before March 30 for a camp scheduled for June 18-23 at the Ouray Ranch in Granby.

To download an application visit www.cotrout.org or contact Larry Quilling at 303-543-0939.

Wyoming points

Nonresident hunters will have their first opportunity to accumulate preference points for big game hunting in Wyoming in 2006. Beginning in 2007, 75 percent of the quota in each area will be drawn from a pool of applicants with the most preference points.

The remainder will be issued in a random draw of applicants who were unsuccessful in the earlier drawing. Nonresidents can apply for a license with a preference point option or purchase the point outright.

Preference points cost $50 for elk, $40 for deer and $30 for antelope.
