SURF OVER TO USEFUL SALVAGE WEBSITE:

Architectural Salvage Inc., the 19-year-old antiques store located at 5001 Colorado Blvd., recently launched the easy-to-navigate website SalvageLady.com. Store owner Betsy Werhane says the site will be updated daily with new arrivals. “Ninety-nine percent of my stuff is local Denver salvage,” she says. “We try to stay local so we can keep our prices down.” Her antique doors, hardware, lighting, plumbing and windows, most of which are from the 1880s through 1930s, will be displayed on the site for online purchase, or so customers can preview the stock before they shop in person. Regular hours at the Denver store are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Call 303-321-0200.

NEW HOME BOUTIQUE CATERS TO LOFT LIVING:

Sanctuary Home at 1635 Platte St. opened late last month. The store, located in a 900-square-foot space in one of the Central Platte Valley’s storied industrial buildings, is the brainchild of furniture reupholsterer Wade Richards. It fuses his offbeat, graphic- print furniture with organic contemporary trimmings such as carved Indonesian wood block end tables or Umbra’s architectural-looking paper lamps. All are arranged in tasteful, monochromatic vignettes, and Richards is available for design consultations. Store hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, 303-433-8877.

BLUE Q’S NUBBY SOAPS MAKE FOR MORE BUBBLY FUN:

“Get Real” is the newest brand from the makers of those kitschy “Dirty Girl” and “Wash Away Your Sins” bath products. These are 100 percent natural, oversized bars available in lavender, lemon, mint and peach scents. But the best part is the nubby base on the bottom of each concave bar of soap. The design makes for easier gripping, and a lot more suds. “Get Real” soap and lip balm are available at Cry Baby Ranch (1422 Larimer St., Denver, 303-623-3979) and Lyons Drug (840 Lincoln Ave., Steamboat Springs, 970-879-1114).
