Zach Wilson is a senior at Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton. He is one of two valedictorians this year.

In January, Zach completed a half-marathon, PF Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll in Arizona. He has run several local 5K races for various charities.

Zach has worked at SHARE Colorado with his aunt for the past three years and has tutored fellow high school students in physics and chemistry.

He has played football, lettering for the past two years; baseball; and basketball.

In the summer, Zach umpires and mows lawns. He is an avid reader, poker player and cribbage player. He also bowls, golfs and hunts and is a life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

As a junior and senior, Zach was a member of the National Honor Society. He has also been a student ambassador and has traveled to England, Ireland and Scotland.

Zach took Advanced Placement English and American history as a junior and scored a 4 in each. He is taking four AP classes this year, including calculus and chemistry, and has a 3.98 grade-point average.

Zach has received academic scholarships to Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Ore., where he plans to major in biology or environmental science.
