Denver Outlaws players Mike Law and Lee Zink earned Major League Lacrosse offensive and defensive player of the week honors, respectively, for their performances in Denver’s 24-14 victory over defending MLL champion Baltimore on Saturday. Law, a Regis High and University of Denver graduate, had four goals, including two two-point goals, and three assists. Zink, a former Bayhawk, held 2005 MLL co-MVP Mark Millon to two assists.
CHL’s Rage beefs up in expansion draft
The Rocky Mountain Rage drafted Colorado Eagles defenseman Matt Desrosiers, as well as forwards Nick Warriner, Vic Pereira, Sebastien Thinel and Ryan Shmyr in the Central Hockey League expansion draft Saturday. The Rage also signed forward Matic Kralj.
DU golfers named to regional team
University of Denver golfers James Love of Calgary and Charlie Soule of Longmont were named to the Golf Coaches Association of America Division I all-region team for the Southwest Region. Love led the Pioneers in scoring average at 70.68, followed by Soule at 71.21.
