Police in Colorado Springs issued an Amber Alert this morning for an 8-month-old who was in a van stolen from a drug store parking lot.
The Amber alert was cancelled at about 10:30 a.m. The baby was found in Fountain, just south of Colorado Springs. The suspect remains at large.
The green, 1995 Mercury Villager with Colorado license plate 428MGO was taken from a Walgreens parking lot located at 3480 North Academy Blvd. at about 7 a.m. Colorado Springs police said the 8-month-old and a 3-year-old were in the van at the time. The older child was later found at a parking lot, but police said baby Azeria Kabwasa is still believed to be in the vehicle.
The suspect is described by authorities as a 5-foot, 8-inch Hispanic man weighing about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black jeans, black leather jacket and white shoes.
