A 19-year-old Greeley man faces felony charges after a woman fell out of his car Thursday night and he allegedly drove away.
Dustin Huggans has been charged with vehicular assault and hit-and-run causing serious bodily injuries, both felonies; as well as careless driving, DUI and a seat-belt violation.
Police said 19-year-old Daisy Dominguez fell out of Huggan’s jeep when he made a high-speed turn at 11th Avenue and 22nd Street around 8:30 p.m., Thursday. She suffered a fractured skull and severe skin abrasions and was admitted to North Colorado Medical Center.
Police said witnesses told them Huggans drove away, then returned and drove away again. They described the vehicle and driver to police, who pulled over Huggans a short while later and connected him to the accident.
Huggans was booked into the Weld County jail on $30,000 bond.
