Colorado Springs – Health- care management company CareCore National LLC plans to hire 95 to 200 more employees for its call center in Colorado Springs by July, a newspaper has reported.
CareCore, based in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., already employs 270 at the call center, where employees authorize whether patients of various insurers can get imaging procedures, such as MRIs.
CareCore is among 13 companies that the Greater Colorado Springs Economic Development Corp. recruited or assisted to move to or expand in the city this year. The companies plan to employ 1,537 within five years. That comes as 10 employers have had 1,183 layoffs this year.
A large contract CareCore landed with a major insurer, which the company declined to identify, could lead to up to 400 new employees on CareCore’s local payroll within three years and require more space for the call center, The Colorado Springs Gazette reported Friday.
“We expect a lot of growth in the next year from business that we have already booked,” Care Core chief executive Don Ryan said. “Our hiring expectations real ly depend on how successful we are in finding qualified staff and space for that additional staff.”
