Grand Teton Bone Warmer Amber Ale, $11.99 per 1-liter bottle

It may be May before my bones get warm but there’s an elixir to help it along.

Grand Teton Brewing Co., a small brewery in Victor, Idaho, is out with another of its Cellar Reserve beers, Bone Warmer Amber Ale.

It is, says the brewer’s Chuck Nowicki, “dangerously drinkable,” a bottle-conditioned amber ale with a forward, slightly sweet malt profile but well balanced with unusual American hops for zest. It is hearty at 8.2 percent alcohol (by volume).

Grand Teton suggests drinking it near a warming fire or with meaty stews or wild game.

Released just before Christmas, it will be available in Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, California and Montana until it runs out, probably soon.
