LAWRENCE, Kan.-

Shaquina Mosley drove the lane and scored with 4.6 seconds left in overtime Tuesday to give Kansas a 70-68 victory over Colorado—its first Big 12 win of the season.

The Jayhawks (7-16, 1-9 Big 12), who had lost five in a row, shot only 32 percent from the field but hit 17-of-18 free throw attempts.

Colorado (10-12, 4-6), which dropped to 0-9 on the road, was only 1-of-11 from 3-point range. The Buffaloes, last in the Big 12 in turnovers, committed 21, including four straight during a stretch late in the second half.

After Colorado went up 61-58 with 43 seconds left in regulation, Sharita Smith hit a pair of free throws to pull Kansas to within one. Colorado answered with a free throw to go back up by two, then the Jayhawks hit two free throws with 19.6 seconds to tie the game at 62-62.

After a timeout, Whitney Houston missed a jumper at the buzzer that would have given Colorado the win, and the game went to overtime.

Mosley led Kansas with 20 points, and Sharita Smith added 12.

Houston led Colorado with 25 points, while Jackie McFarland had 22 points and 18 rebounds.
