Getting your player ready...

The stretch between Fraser’s Rocky Mountain Roastery and Kremmling’s Big Shooter coffee shop can cull withdrawals for addicts of the freshly roasted bean. Luckily, Granby’s got the goods at Ian’s Mountain Bakery. And there’s more than freshly crafted joe there. Ian’s is home of the “Wake ‘n’ Bake Cheesecake.” Made daily, these creamy concoctions can generate a sugar buzz that will last well past Steamboat. Ian’s handtossed pizza pies are exceptional and give WP’s Hernando’s a run for the best ‘za in the Fraser Valley. The savory scones are awesome and the flaky fresh pastries melt. The usually ample supply of day-olds is better than most bakeries’ fresh made. They’ve even got a nifty 25-cents-a-minute Internet machine for those who need their e-mail fix.

Get there — 358 E. Agate, Granby
