GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-
The deaths of a Fruitvale couple found inside their home over the weekend were determined to be a possible murder-suicide, the Mesa County coroner said.
Coroner Dean Havlik said Greg Lyons, 50, and Barbara Lyons, 43, each died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Havlik also said Greg Lyons’ fatal injury was self-inflicted.
Mesa County sheriff’s officials discovered the bodies at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday after relatives of the couple called authorities to check on them.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation was assisting with the case.
