Miami – A Wendy’s restaurant manager almost lost his life to a disgruntled customer early Tuesday morning.
The cause? Chili sauce. The shooter wanted more.
Miami-Dade police said that just after midnight a man was in the drive-through. As he picked up his meal, he asked for extra chili sauce.
When he didn’t get his sauce right away, he began arguing with the attendant. When he got his sauce, he wanted more.
The attendant told him the limit was three packets.
The customer insisted on 10.
He got 10 but kept arguing.
The customer was asked to pull up so the manager could come out and talk to him. The manager stepped out, and several shots were fired at him, a police spokeswoman said. His left arm was hit.
The customer got away.
A security guard was on duty, but the manager said he was asleep until the shots were fired.
