BROOMFIELD, Colo.—Level 3 CEO James Q. Crowe will have surgery for a tumor on his pituitary gland, the company said Wednesday.
Crowe said the tumor is “almost certainly” benign but could have significant long-term effects if not removed. He said it was discovered during a routine physical examination.
Crowe said the surgery will probably be in the last week of August and recovery will take two to three weeks.
Broomfield-based Level 3 is a communications network provider.
