DENVER—Colorado Rockies pitcher Rodrigo Lopez will undergo surgery to repair a torn flexor tendon on his right arm.
The right-handed pitcher’s surgery will be performed by Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles on Aug. 22, the team said. The Rockies transferred him from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day DL on Thursday.
Lopez was 5-4 and had a 4.42 ERA in 14 starts before the injury.
