Rocky Mountain National Park — Searchers at Rocky Mountain National Park plan to look through the night for a Fort Collins couple.

Park officials say 56-year-old Terry Jones and 49-year-old Marion Jones left their car at Big South Trailhead on Saturday, then were dropped off by their son at the Chapin Pass Trailhead in the northern part of the park.

The couple planned to stay overnight in the backcountry, then hike to their car and head home Sunday. Their car was found Monday night, but their family hasn’t heard from them.

Park officials say other campers last saw the couple Sunday morning.

Terry and Marion Jones are described as experienced backpackers.
