As far as Dallas Elmore is concerned, the Boston area is similar to Fort Collins, only bigger.
So the senior at Poudre orally committed to play basketball at Boston College of the Atlantic Coast Conference after a recent visit.
“(The Eagles) seemed like a family that brought me in right from the start,” Elmore said.
The 6-foot-5, 205-pounder said he “felt comfortable” at Boston College and has a chance to get some playing time as a freshman. He said the staff is looking at him as a small forward or a shooting guard.
As a junior, Elmore led the Class 5A Impalas, the Front Range League champions, in scoring with 23.5 points per game, second in 5A.
“Now, I can just focus on school without the recruiting,” Elmore said.
