A Wisconsin woman was killed in a roll-over crash early today on Interstate 70 between Burlington and the Kansas state line, Colorado State Patrol said.
The crash happened about 2:15 a.m., when a silver 2007 Chevrolet Uplander driven by Charlesu Yang, 45, of Milwaukee, Wisc., drifted off the left side of the highway and rolled 1 1/4 times in the median, authorities said.
Joyce Yang, 44, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and was pinned beneath the overturned vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second passenger, Eli Deleon, 58, of Las Vegas, Nev., also not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. He was not taken to a hospital.
Charlesu Yang told state troopers that he fell asleep at the wheel, and he could face charges of careless driving causing death, a misdemeanor, authorities said.
Alcohol or drugs were not a factor, authorities said.
