Kyle Johnson had reason to give thanks.

The former Broncos’ fullback was once again a Broncos fullback at practice Thursday morning.

The Broncos’ top fullback from 2004-06, Johnson was a surprising final roster cut in September. His return apparently means Mike Bell will be shifting from fullback back to his former tailback spot.

Bell may be needed as a backup to Andre Hall in the game Sunday against the Chicago Bears as Broncos’ tailbacks Travis Henry and Selvin Young again missed practice Thursday with knee injuries.

Johnson, who will turn 30 next month, most likely took the roster spot of offensive guard Isaac Snell, who was not at the Broncos’ practice Thursday.
