Nearly 7,500 people — from age 2 to 88 — braved frigid temperatures Thursday to participate in Mile High United Way’s 34th annual Turkey Trot, a 4-mile race and walk at Denver’s Washington Park. The event raised about $150,000 for families in need. Funds are given to the Adult Self Sufficiency initiative, which helps those struggling to attain financial stability, and Denver’s Road Home, the city’s 10-year plan to end homelessness. The three top finishers in the race for women and men: Women: Paige Higgins, 25, 22:24; Brandy Erholtz, 30, 23:18; Sara Moody, 26, 23:27. Men: Payton Batliner, 23, 19:25; Joel Hamilton, 22, 19:31; Tyler Pennel, 19, 19:44. The full results can be found at .
