Firefighters have stamped out a brush fire in Douglas County along Interstate 25.
The right lane of southbound I-25 should be reopened shortly, said Andy Lyon, a spokesman with South Metro Fire Rescue.
South Metro firefighters and members of the Parker Fire Department put out the fire near Surrey Ridge to the west of the highway.
Lyon said he fire burned a path about one-quarter of a mile long and about 20-feet wide.
No structures were threatened and no one was injured, Lyon said.
Traffic is flowing through the area but is slow or could be delayed until engines are able to pull out.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
