DENVER — Frontier Airlines says it hopes to launch a new regional operation this week pending federal approval.
Ted Christie, a Frontier vice president of finance, told analysts today the service could start Friday if the Federal Aviation Administration certifies the operation.
The new service will be called Lynx Aviation. It will serve small- and mid-sized cities in the West using 74-seat Bombardier turboprop planes that will fly under the Frontier name.
Christie was speaking to analysts at the Calyon Securities U.S. Airline Conference 2007.
