GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. — Grand Junction police are looking for a silver, four-door Dodge Ram extended cab truck in connection with the shooting of a man outside a Fruitvale home.

Police responded initially to a report of an assault about 3:45 p.m. Monday. That call later turned into a report of shots fired.

Officer Brian Gregor says 26-year-old Kevin Bonds was shot in the upper torso. He was treated and released from St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction.

Two nearby schools were briefly placed on lockdown after the shooting.

Neighbors say the house where the incident occurred had been vacant for about a month.

Police have no motive and no suspects.
