DENVER—Businessman Wil Armstrong has added his name to the race to replace Rep. Tom Tancredo in one of Colorado’s stalwart conservative districts.
Armstrong became the third Republican to enter the race this week, officially filing paperwork to run for the 6th Congressional District.
Armstrong is chief executive of a software development company and the son of former Colorado Sen. Bill Armstrong.
He joins Secretary of State Mike Coffman and state Sen. Ted Harvey in bidding to represent the suburbs south of Denver.
Tancredo, who is seeking the GOP nomination for president, announced in October he would not seek his sixth term in the House next year.
