The Colorado Springs Police Department said Murray had three weapons on him, one in his car and a fifth at his home in Englewood when he went to New Life Church on Sunday.
Colorado Springs police said Murray fired 26 rounds from an assault rifle and a single shot from a 9 mm, the gun he used to commit suicide.
The security volunteer from New Life Church, Jeanne Assam, had a Beretta 9mm semi-automatic handgun and she fired a total of 10 rounds while engaged in the shooting with the suspect.
All of the weapons were purchased by Murray at the following locations:
A Bushmaster XM15 assault rifle was purchased Jan. 9, 2007 at he Sportsman’s Warehouse, 14140 E. Ellsworth, Aurora.
An AK-47 assault rifle, purchased Nov. 17, 2006 at Robert’s Firearms at 18498 E. Colfax, Aurora. This cun was found in his car.
A Springfield Armory 9mm semi-automatic handgun purchased Sept. 11, 2007 at Dave’s Guns, 1842 S. Parker Road, Denver.
A Beretta .40 cal. semi-automatic handgun purchased Jan. 4, 2007, at Sportsman’s Warehouse, 555 N. Chelton Road, Colorado Springs.
A Beretta .22-caliber handgun purchased June 2, 2007 at Sportsman’s Warehouse, 14140 E. Ellsworth Ave., Aurora. The gun was found at Murray’s home and is now at the Arvada Police Department.
