GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Court proceedings against a 91-year-old man accused of trying to sexually assault a nurse at a Palisade nursing home have been delayed so he can undergo a competency examination.
Ralph Allen Ridenour faces charges of forcible attempted sexual assault, forcible attempted sexual contact and false imprisonment.
The judge granted a delay after the defense said Ridenour may not understand the proceedings.
Ridenour was arrested on October 21st. A nurse at Palisade Living Center told police he grabbed her and repeatedly threatened to rape her after she tried to give him his medicine.
Another hearing is scheduled February 20th.
