A portable toilet in transit fell off a trailer on Interstate 25 north of Denver, triggering a few rush-hour fender-benders this morning.
No one was seriously injured, police said.
“There was a truck hauling a Porta Potti, and he lost his load in the road,” said Sgt. Heidi Walts of the Broomfield Police Department.
The accident happened just before 7 a.m. on northbound I-25 near the Northwest Parkway, Walts said.
A car on the highway swerved to avoid the portable toilet, and it hit a truck. After the car and truck accident, another vehicle slammed into the portable toilet.
After the first two wrecks, there were two more accidents involving four vehicles, Walts said.
One person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, Walts said.
The truck driver hauling the toilet was cited for losing his load, Walts said.
