The 2008 TransWorld Trans-Am amateur snowboard slopestyle competition makes its one and only Colorado stop this season Saturday at Winter Park.

For $10, riders receive a one-year subscription to TransWorld Snowboarding magazine and entrance into the 1 1/2-mile Traffic Jam, where all riders hike and ride the slopestyle course together. Judges will pick out 40 riders to advance to the Ultimate Jam, in which the top performers will be rewarded.

Riders who don’t advance to the Ultimate Jam will come together to become the “World’s Largest Judging Panel” and vote on the prestigious Rider’s Choice Award for Best Overall Nutty Extreme Rider. For more information or to register, visit or call 970-726-1590.
