Commerce City — Police are searching for a man who shot a worker today during an attempted robbery near the Sara Lee Bread factory at 7040 E. 56th Avenue.
Police reported that a man in his 20s demanded money from a worker in the plant parking lot. When the 37-year-old worker said he didn’t have any, the suspect took out a gun and shot the victim once in the right shoulder.
The suspect fled on foot, police said.
The victim was transported to a hospital where he is currently in serious condition, police said.
