Police found a woman tied up in a Hobby Lobby store early this morning and have taken her to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect or suspects or details about how the woman was accosted, said Sgt. Colleen O’Connell, Broomfield police spokeswoman.

“We believe this incident was isolated, and we do not believe it warrants locking down any schools,” O’Connell said.

Police were called at 7:36 a.m. after receiving a hang-up call from the store, she said. It is unclear who made the call, she said.

When officers arrived, they found a back door unlocked and the woman, an employee of the business, inside.

No information was available about any items or money that may been stolen from the crafts and hobby store, O’Connell said.

Detectives are interviewing the store manager as well as the victim at the hospital. Details on the extent of her injuries were not available.

The store was not open when the woman was discovered, O’Connell said.

A woman answering the phone at the Hobby Lobby said the manager of the store is not taking calls about the case.
