Two men were stabbed – one fatally – in a fight that broke out at a Colorado Springs home late Wednesday night, authorities say.
Police were called to a home on the 4800 block of Savannah Ridge Drive at 11:21 p.m. and found a man stabbed to death, according to Sgt. Mark Stevens of the Colorado Springs Police Department.
At about the same time a male arrived at a local hospital emergency room with a stab wound, Stevens said.
Detectives soon learned that this second stabbing victim had been involved in a knife fight at the same home where the dead man was found, he said.
The names and ages of the two males has not yet been released.
It is unclear what provoked the fight or how the two victims received their wounds, Stevens said.
The department’s Violent Crimes Section Homicide Unit is investigating the case, he said.
The El Paso County Coroner will perform an autopsy on the dead person. No arrests have been made at this time, Stevens said.
