Denver police are investigating a shooting in the Montbello neighborhood.
An argument apparently escalated into gunfire in front from a strip mall liquor store at 4856 Chambers Road at 6:10 p.m., said Denver Police Detective John White.
“The victim was hit multiple times,” he said.
The man, in his 30s, was rushed to Denver Health with wounds White described as serious.
The shooter, whom witness described as 17 or 18 years old, was wearing a yellow shirt.
Two hours after the shooting, police were still searching the neighborhood with patrols and a police helicopter, while detectives interviewed numerous witnesses, White said.
