LONGMONT, Colo.—A man apparently randomly fired four gunshots before retreating to his apartment where police found a body after a more than five hour standoff.

Longmont Police Cmdr. Tom Fixmer said officers were unable to contact 36-year-old Douglas Fedorock since about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday after two bullets struck a pickup truck that was passing by, and two more slugs hit an apartment complex.

No one was injured.

Fedorock never answered his telephone or responded to bullhorn commands. Police fired tear gas and used a robot to enter the apartment at about 9:45 p.m. and found a body believed to be Fedorock. Additional details were not immediately available.
