AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—Talli Hansen scored 29 points to lead Eads to a 57-25 win over Crested Butte in the semifinals action of the girls class 1A high school basketball tournament Friday afternoon in Clune Arena.

Hansen had 22 points by the end of the first half and the Eagles had a 33-7 lead at the intermission as Crested Butte struggled from the field. Hansen, a 6-foot-1-inch center, consistently converted offensive rebounds into easy baskets, swept the defensive boards and triggered long outlet passes down the court.

Hansen collected her third personal foul near the end of the third quarter and her fourth in the opening minute of the fourth. Crested Butte began forcing some turnovers, but the Titans never threatened the Eads lead. Kaitlin Councilman hit three, third-quarter field goals for Crested Butte en route to a team-high eight points.

Chevaun Glover added 10 points for the defending state champion Eagles, and Rhaeli Sicklebower and Lisa Miller each had eight far Eads.

Eads is now 21-3 record, while Crested Butte drops to 19-5.
